Secrets of Deepawali – Celebrations of Female Power

Image
Recently in a gathering, ladies of our society wanted me to express views and share insight on the female power behind all celebrations especially Deepawali. This topic is very challenging as most of us know that Lord Ram came back after his victory over the evil and RamRajya commenced with Deepawali so the expectations were very difficult to talk about. Accepting the Divine plan, I started sharing the waves from her…and asked, a ny ideas on why are we saying its celebration of female power?  There was no responses….eyes of the participants were blank, so I continued…. female power is the driver of all celebrations in life, Deepawali is also no exception but to understand this and to be on the same page, we need to dwell deeper…. Let’s starts with the facts known to us….  In India celebrations continue throughout the year but if we start from Shravan month (Indian calendar month) it starts with worship of Lord Shiv ( Mahakaal Jyotirlinga - mystery of time ), foll...

Devi Durga - The life force

Navratri’s are auspicious days after a fortnight long hot, humid Pitrapaksh. These are the days when our energy battery starts charging and immunity builds up. These 9 days are very important for our wellbeing, hence there were lots of questions in my mind about significance of these 9 nights called Navratris. There has been lot of deliberations on the spiritual aspects of Navratris but to my scientific mind which is trained in the modern education system. It becomes difficult to adjust these facts. I have seen her idols with 8 hands, sometimes with 10 hands and even 16 hands...

These devotees were celebrating Ganeshotsav and last day being the end of this celebration they brought Ganesha idols from their home or societies to merge them into waters of Yamuna River.  These last day celebrations with colors, music and dance were spreading happiness all over, however there were few miscreants, who had a belief that they have to put special amplifiers with thousands of watts to let the God listen to their music. They were on a different plane. Trucks loaded with massive music systems followed with trucks full of devotees. The music was so loud that even the vehicles around on the road were shaking with beats. The decibel levels especially Bass was in dangerous zone. It was like a noise that was trying to kill. Hopefully, there was no oldage person or heart patient in nearby cars. Fortunately, no ambulance passed but during that time, else God w...
