Rudraksh – mystical seed holding secrets of Shiv upasana. Part 5

Image
After a small pause... i started again... Rudraksh has two ends - one end has fire or Rudra, that boils up the energy and then this energy travels across the central hole or axis to reach to the other end. The energy then converts to the nectarine flow like ganges and comes down the surface of rudraksh along different channels. These channels on the surface of Rudraksh are called Mukh or face of Rudraksh. Rudraksh beads have seed inside it corresponding to the Mukh. If a Rudraksh is three mukhi it will have three seeds and three holes signifying seed as core centre on the channel of flow - hole.    A seven Mukhi will have seven seeds on the seven channels of energy flow...         Its very much natural... and is very closely connected to energy flow in human body. The central hole or axis is Sushumna of our body. The energy rises through it and then it flows down as nectar throughout the body. Similar is the flow in Rudraksh. ...

Aksha is also a sanskrit word and means eye or axis. If we analayse our sight, we could observe very clearly that eyes could see whatever comes in their axis of vision. We see from the eye and the object in the sight is along an axis of vision. This axis is the one that holds the secret to seeing. These three - seer, the seen and the seeing are on this axis that has fire on one end and hence is termed Rudraksh. Axis needs more clarity…he said. The eye and its axis that are important for the vision ar...

The Shiva Mahapurana, Vidyesvara-samhita, chapter 25 shlokas 89 and 90 highlights that Shiv himself explains the greatness of the Bhasma and Rudraksha to Devi Parvati. Shivasyatipriyau gyeyau bhasmaRudrakshaadharinau | Taddhamaprabhavaddhi bhuktirmuktirna samshaya || 89 || The person who wears bhasma and Rudraksha are very dear to Lord Shiv, they get all their desires fulfilled and gets liberated. BhasmaRudrakshaadhari yah shivabhaktah sa uchyate | Panchaksharam japasaktah paripurnashcha sanmukhe || 90 || There is no doubt that wearing bhasma (sacred ash), Rudraksha and Panchakshri delivers liberation! My friends you would have noticed with keen observation - Panchakshri identifies with the creation process and is then followed with Bhasma. Bhasma is the residue and it is remains after the merging or burning of all the elements back into their source. This way Panchakshri and Bhasma completes the creation and destruction process and hence the cycle complet...

Rudraksh – mystical seed holding secrets of Shiv upasana. Part 2

We started discussing the science and art explained in these articles. Kartikeya didn’t stop at the articles, he was curious regarding the naming of the blog.  I shared that it was divine direction; when the Saraswati started flowing, this Nimitt or instrument started to pen down this hidden treasure. This all happened after experiencing this treasure with enlightened masters. It was only some time back when my son, Ayush found these writings and started going through. He found these articles to be useful and felt that these could be shared for the benefit of all.  It was felt that with time the secret internal processes behind these rituals are forgotten and as a result the current educated mind have started disapproving these.  This lead to a situation where current generation didnot find sense in continue to follow these traditions. We know that these are not part of myth-o-logy, they are very vibrant processes that have an alchemical effect in our inner ...

Rudraksh – mystical seed holding secrets of Shiv upasana. Part 1

"HAPPY MAHASHIVRATRI" It was a normal Friday with lots of office assignments, meetings and so on. Around 10.30 in the morning phone started ringing. To my surprise it was my old friend travelling from US and wanted to meet up at 12 noon. It was a pleasant surprise and I planned finish all important tasks to be free by that time. Finally he landed and called up, we decided to meet somewhere outside.  It was a day full of surprises… another one was waiting for me. Rupam was with two more friends of ours Ajay and Kartikeya. We all studied together till twelfth standard and then after that Kartikeya and myself went to BITS, Pilani and Rupam joined IIT, Delhi. It was almost over 30 years when we four were meeting again. Memories of school days flashed in a moment in my mind and wondered to see them wearing some grey hairs, hearts were loaded with responsibilities and lots of stress in head.  In o...
