Rudraksh – mystical seed holding secrets of Shiv upasana. Part 2
We started discussing the science and art explained in these articles. Kartikeya didn’t stop at the articles, he was curious regarding the naming of the blog.
I shared that it was divine direction; when the Saraswati started flowing, this Nimitt or instrument started to pen down this hidden treasure. This all happened after experiencing this treasure with enlightened masters. It was only some time back when my son, Ayush found these writings and started going through. He found these articles to be useful and felt that these could be shared for the benefit of all.
It was felt that with time the secret internal processes behind these rituals are forgotten and as a result the current educated mind have started disapproving these.
This lead to a situation where current generation didnot find sense in continue to follow these traditions. We know that these are not part of myth-o-logy, they are very vibrant processes that have an alchemical effect in our inner world. We need to just try them and feel the changes almost immediately but the challenge remains to make these acceptable to the todays mind. For instance Cybrospinal fluid and its flow creates movement of energy in the brain and spine and is followed on a track called Panchakshri. The same flow also creates another impact called Mahamrityunjaya. The only difference is the level of experience across its route. We all could experience it easily, just a convinced mind is required so that one could give his 100% to explore.
This is possible only if some one could find that these rituals have scientific basis and gets convinced that these rituals have alchemical effects. In such a scenario only todays educated mind will accept these and will get benefited. Therefore, this blog is an attempt to share these processes with their basics in simple to understand articulation. Their art forms are briefed to set the direction but only after giving scientific logics, significance for our educated mind to accept these. This is with a belief that there will be some who will use these rituals to make their life fulfilling.
These sadhanas have remained subject of intellectual discussions for quite some time as the internal processes were lost in time. The situation has further deteriorated with West to pick very selective processes and then branding these, like Tantra just branded as a new way sex or Kundalini Jagran is driving it up and up like a crazy person without understanding that it will burn out brain and body if it’s not directed back. This energy on return has to enrich us with nectar and the process is called Amritaabhishek. Instead in the central channel one could see that it could be unidirection as there is literally no movement. The Self oscillates at its place and the phenomenon like eddy currents establish such that the realisation or lighting of the bulb occurs without any lateral movement from one part to other part. This stage comes after movement of Pran from lower to upper portion and then back to lower portion, like in a circuit is experienced well. We have forgotten this part of the sadhna and jumped to the next level where energy gets accumulated in head and does harm then bringing a real change is our realisation.
Therefore, to me in the current scenario, requirement is to uncover hidden treasures in these rituals and then putting them in correct perspective for everyone to get benefited and hence www.artandscienceoflife.blogspot.com The objective is clearly to let everyone understand and then use these practices to make their life blissful.
If you see these articles on Shiv you will notice that Panchakshri Mantra is not recited orally, it is just realised with the natural flow of ganges inside our body. Close your eyes and see at the centre of eye brows. In some time you will find that you have started flowing downward. This downward flow is natural flow of cybrospinal fluid charged due to the concentration with the cosmic energy that enters from third eye. This downward flow is due to gravity till it reaches earth and on the way it keeps getting distributed as Pran - life energy. This Pran makes all body parts full of life. This entire process when realised in spine, the flow passes through various energy centres called chakras. In mental silence or Maun one listens to inernal sounds that are emeging due to vibrations during this flow through these chakras. These vibrations are of different frequencies and hence are realised as seed letters. These letters are weaved into one mantra with the continuous flow and this is Panchakshri mantra.
Similarly, Triyambak is a mantra that guides cosmic energy to flow from top to bottom of the spine such that the energy is distributed in entire body for vitality. The methods around it forms Mahamrityunjay, Mritsanjeevani Vidya or Mrityunjay Triyumbak Mantra, etc. These different techniques creates different impacts that are experienced by us.
Rishis, the old Indian scientists conducted all their research in the inner world. They went deep inside and came out with pearls of their experiences. These experiences, learnings were then given formats that were easy for utilisation by masses. These reasearch were made a part of our day to day celebrations and rituals so that every one could benefit.
Today the scenario has changed and masses are educated, they need logic first to be satisfied and to open doors of their acceptance.
Rupam was curious to know how are these age old practices linked to science?
When you taste an ice cream, experience remains the same. Its felt cold irrespective that we are educated in science or not so the experience remains the same, however the expressions will differ. Similarly, as the languages are our way of sharing experiences but the choice of words or language doesn’t have a bearing on the experience. Therefore, these could be explained in innumerable ways, basis science or dharma. It becomes easier for science educated people to relate with it and motivates them to try experiencing it.
One could very well understand and share these in scientific language but when this explanation is targeted for masses then care must be taken that explanation should not be too scientific otherwise it becomes difficult for a masses to comprehend.
One more point, We all know that what we experience is something that we have gone through, so it’s true for the person experiencing it. Science finds the natural laws that could logically explain the phenomenon in the external world. The same natural laws when applied in the inner world they will hold their sanctity to a great extent as the saying is ‘Yatha Ande thatha Pinde.’ This saying suggests that whatever is there in the external world we have that inside us also. This rule is followed by all reflexology treatments. Marma, Accupressure, Accupuncture, Suzok, Shiatsu, etc. are various techniques that follow this rule. The success in treatment of ailments suffices for the above rule…..
So…..i said after a little pause,…… you will appreciate that findings of these natural laws by science could also explain the internal processes and its experience.
Kartikeya also felt the same way, however he wanted to know that how do you view Rudraksh, which is an entity in the external world?
How do you look at it in our inner world? Rudraksh is given a lot of importance in our Shashtras (religious texts) and is also worn by many but is this also related to our inner world? How it benefits us?
How is Rudraksh associated with Shiv? How do we bring out the science behind this phenomenon for masses to relate and enjoy the experiences?
There were many questions that started pouring on this context but all were arising out of a curiosity. This was a genuine thirst that demanded to be quenched.
Rudraksh is divine grace. It increases the inner strength and helps in controlling the senses by merely wearing it.
