Wishing a healthy, happy and a fulfilling life on International Yoga day…  May Yog bless us with its facets to enjoy this celebration called life. An inquisitive mind like a child will have lots of question on Yog to start with, like what is yoga? What are the various levels/ facets and dimensions of Yoga? There is a lot of noise on nadis as described in yoga, like Ida, Pingla, etc.  What is significance of these nadis? How these nadis came in to existence? What is the source of our existence? What Yog has got to do with Asanas or Pranayam? and many more such questions keep bothering us. ‘Yoga’ as is popularly known in west, is Yog in the Sanskrit texts. Yog means the union or addition. Its a great discovery by Adi Guru and then it had perculated down through Guru parampara to the current time.  Going by the simple meaning of Yog, if we add 1 and 2, the Yog is 3. So, we know its that simple to understand, the bigger question is ...

This path of evolution with mathematics will continue on this cycle; it will spiral to next levels of evolution but where will it land up next? what will be that level look or feel like? what will get uncovered in this number system now? Where will number system take this civilization next?.... Now, what could be the practice to encompass this helical path of zero. How we could start getting benefit of realizing these stages of evolution. The best way could be focus vision on a spot at Kand (between Nabhi and Maipurak Chakra and slightly lower). Now, observe the breath moving the Nabhi up and down. Notice that each exhale leaves a grace flowing into that spot and it gets filled with energy that brightens it more. Feel it. Notice, what it could do for you over a period of time.... Do share your experiences. It could be felt that its a small sadhna or activity and what it could do. It will change the entire life... why not lets just try i...

Now, lets explore it in a different way. This number 15 is Panchdasi denoting 15 different dimensions of union or existence. We are generally aware of 3 dimensions of space, viz x, y and z coordinates. These three coordinates gives the location on a Cartesian plane. Similarly, time also have three dimensions - Past, present and future. There will be dimensions for other senses also and all these put together will be 3X5 = 15 dimensions. These dimensions represents different characteristics that adds to describe a Purna purush or perfect person. This is the secret of 16 kala sampoormna or perfect person. Shri Krishna is the only one that who had been identified as Purna Avtaar. The 16th state is called unmani or a state where mind is transcended. In this state only self remains. All the addons are removed and the person is naked. The states beyond this are also very divine but more from Guru mukh.  The number ...

It was Bharat who asked Ram for his Paduka. The concept is not understood at that time also by most, that he asked Ram in another form. Bharat didn't settle for less then Ram. Its so powerful that he enjoyed Rajdharam and sanyas simultaneously without getting effected by Karm bandhan (bondage). This 15 was such a miraculous number that it was noticed that such 15 different unions were observed between Sun and Moon creating 15 different Moon phases at Earth. We notice this as movement of time and hence Indian calendar month consists of two Paksh or fortnights of Moon phases. Two phases of Moon waning and waxing.   If we dig deeper entire Nityarchana is on the basis of these Nityas. This magical number 15 got so much of importance that Devi Lalita is worshiped with her Panchdashi Mantra. This divine Mantra or the codified message is referred to as Panchdashi. Which means 15. It got a yantra form. A form that creates its impact lik...

If we observe this process keenly, there is no origin and there is no end. It just flows... as per the above logic the next number after 9 could be 8 if it spirals back into the same circle or else it gets to a new spiral as starts the rotation with 11,12,13,.... and so on. This spiral continues and we get infinity. The day one gets conscious the cycle stops at 9 and Laya starts with 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 and then ultimately '0'. This is the mathematics of realization, enlightenment. This is a very interesting concept in Tantra. 1 gives birth to 2 and then 2 gives birth to 3,... it continues till 9 is born. In the cyclical pattern 9 gives birth to 8 and so on. This was all of these these numbers becomes mother in the process of srijan. These are the 9 mother goddesses. The nine different forms of Devi Durga. We come to this level of existence as a grace of Durga and then for enlightenment, we try to go back to our roots and finally reaches that Nir...
