Mathematics of Spirituality Part 5
If we observe this process keenly, there is no origin and there is no end. It just flows... as per the above logic the next number after 9 could be 8 if it spirals back into the same circle or else it gets to a new spiral as starts the rotation with 11,12,13,.... and so on. This spiral continues and we get infinity. The day one gets conscious the cycle stops at 9 and Laya starts with 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 and then ultimately '0'. This is the mathematics of realization, enlightenment.
This is a very interesting concept in Tantra. 1 gives birth to 2 and then 2 gives birth to 3,... it continues till 9 is born. In the cyclical pattern 9 gives birth to 8 and so on. This was all of these these numbers becomes mother in the process of srijan. These are the 9 mother goddesses. The nine different forms of Devi Durga. We come to this level of existence as a grace of Durga and then for enlightenment, we try to go back to our roots and finally reaches that Nirgun, still or wave less ocean state of consciousness.
In Shri Vidya, its interpreted at a much deeper level. They found that maximum number of Adya Trikonas possible are 9 as 9 is the largest unitary number. They notices that for life to sustain, it has to have a harmony and hence the 9 Trikonas or triangles were found to be having 5 trikona of Devi or Shakti and 4 Trikona of Shiv. They unite together to form the most complex geometrical figure called Shri Chakra.
This gives birth to 5 Unions that are documented in Tantra as Panch Padukas. These 5 Guru Padukas have the Lone triangle at the center as first Paduka, followed with 4 more Padukas emanating from union of Shiv and Shakti trikonas or triangles. The first one is so divine that they named it after the Adya form and is called Kaamkalaa. The other four are Hamsah, AKaTha, Manipeeth, Naad-Bindu and Dwadasdal. They happen in this way and appear in Para, Apara and Paraapra. This way we get 15 Padukas. The Adya or the root of the three could be noticed by sadhak depending on him. In any of these three centers as Adya Shakti. This way we get 16 Nityas or the 16 different levels of unions. The sixteenth being the perfect union and is also called Amakalaa, Amrit, nectar, ambrosia, elixir, gist, etc.
The Padukas are kept so secret that it is not shared by Gurus. This is a very powerful concept and to understand it Shishya needs to be at a level that he could hold this knowledge and remain kind to the society. Its such a powerful concept that if some one uses it as a weapon, it is believed that he could destroy the world. Hence we could understand the worry of Gurus and saints for keeping it in their heart. They cried for getting one shishya, whom they could pass this but entire life passed and they could not get even one shishya capable of holding and handling Paduka.
