Shri Ganapati - Secrets of inner celebrations on the path of spirituality Part-1
Ganesh Chaturthi marks the start of a period of celebrations
with Ganapati pujan. This year it started from September 5, generally devoted
persons bring Ganapati idols to their home and celebrate this season of
festivity. The celebrations continue for almost 10 days and then Ganapati
statue merges back in nature while his virtues, wisdom remain within us.
This have been happening year after year and it’s important
to understand that why Ganapati resolves our mind and creates so much of
positivity around? How he creates an internal celebration? What is in him that
makes us so happy during these days? and many more such questions that rises up
naturally.
Ganapati is one of the deities of the most guarded secret - Shri
Vidya. Shri Vidya finds its geometrical representation as Shri Chakra, the living
yantra or instrument. It’s the most evolved path that involves worshipping the
key deities - Ganapati, Lalita, Matangi, Varahi and Bala.
Ganapati is son of Shiv and Parvati.
Shiv and Shakti are the primordial source of this entire existence.
There union resulted into all the creation and then this creation interacted
with each other resulting in complexity. These complexities caused pain,
sufferings as one got dissociated from their self – the truth.
It was Shakti creating a son out of her compassion as she only
could bring orderliness by reducing entropy of a such a complex system.
She was cleaning her body with Ubtan - an ayurvedic
preparation based on turmeric to nourish the skin. It cleanses skin and leaves
the skin glowing from within. She cleaned herself using Ubtan and then shaped Ubtan
to the form of a child.
She was very happy to see this idol of child and blessed
this idol with life as a mother. She was very happy to see him alive and named
him Vinayak.
