Chidvimarsh : Secret of Shri Krishna’s 16108 wives
Shri Krishna is said to be
Purnavtaar (supreme incarnation) as per Indian texts. Purnavtaar is the perfect,
complete Avtaar of Lord Vishnu. He came to this world to establish a balance
and all his life and action are demonstrations for us to live a complete life.
This makes his life an example for us to learn and inculcate those values in
our life also.
Shri Krishna is Purnavtar, so everything related to him will
have some meaning for each one of us to learn and enjoy life. Shri Krishna’s
leelas communicate different meanings to different people depending on their
biases or how they look at it but there are many such higher level secrets that
has been communicated in his plays. These concepts are so simply put forward
that generally these are missed by everyone.
Shri Krishna’s standing pose, his morpankh (peacock feather)
on head, his Bansuri (flute), presence of cow with him, Makhan (butter), Radha
(beloved), mother Yashoda… everything tells us some or the other secrets to
make our life a quality life.
Today is Janmashtami and every year we discuss about Shri
Krishna to resolve atleast one of his secret facet to enrich our lives. We
spend some time in remembering his leela and then choose one to discuss in
detail. This time when we were discussing among family members, Ayush was curious
to know about so many marriages of Shri Krishna.
He was surprised that Shri Krishna married 16108 ladies and
hence had lots of questions, like how he could have married so many ladies.
He had logic that even if Shri Krishna would have married a
lady a day, it required more than 44 years to marry 16108 ladies.
He asked how he married so many ladies. Were those ladies
crazy that even after knowing that he is already married to so many still they married
Shri Krishna?
Rashmi, his mother told him that you need to listen to the
story behind all this to be able to relate and understand this; else you will
have such confusions.
Aishwarya, her daughter was also curious now, so he asked
her to narrate the story behind so many marriages of Shri Krishna.
Rashmi started, there was a pious king Bhouma, he was son of
Bhu devi (mother earth). He was also called Naraka. He became friend with Banasur
that changed his approach resulting in Asura (demon) being added to his name.
He became Narkasur and accordingly started using his powers to please his ego,
his desire. Everyone was afraid of King Narkasur, to the extent that he won
over Swarglok by defeating mighty King Indradev. He went to the extent that he
stole Kundal (ear rings) of mother of Gods – Aditi.
He was son of Bhumi – mother earth and was a nice ruler but
due to his association with Banasur, he became greedy and started owning
everything that was unique, beautiful and precious. Be it Aditi’s Kundal, Kalpvriksha
or beautiful ladies. He kidnapped 16000 most beautiful ladies in this greed to
own so many beautiful ladies.
People were afraid of him. He was unpredictable and could
have done anything. This fear rose to the extent that he went to Swarglok (heaven)
to fight with Indradev and took over as ruler of Swarglok also.
All Devtas (Gods) lead by Indradev went to Lord Vishnu to
seek his guidance and support in this critical situation. Shri Vishnu assured
them for help during his incarnation.
Narkasur continued with his demonic (asuric) deeds and
kidnapped 16000 women. He went on to the extent of stealing earrings of heavenly
mother goddess Aditi. Aditi visited Shri Krishna and his wife Satyabhama to inform
them and requested for support. This lead Shri Krishna and Satyabhama to fight with
Narkasur till his end and free all that was controlled by him using his demonic
powers.
Shri Krishna then went to capital of Narkasur to free 16100
ladies from his jail and returned earrings to Aditi. After getting freedom from
Narkasura’s jails these 16100 ladies came to see Shri Krishna and Satyabhama to
express their gratitude and to take direction for their further life. They also
asked about their fate as the challenge they had was that society might not
have accepted them back. Shri Krishna addressed this issue by giving them his
name and married all of them making them his queens.
They were lucky to get husband like Shri Krishna.
She paused and looked deeper into their eyes…this is how
Shri Krishna got married to so many ladies. The underlying reason was not lust
for ladies but the demand of the situation at that time. He married for his
cause to support life against the negativities those ladies were facing.
Hummm, Ayush said that turned towards me and asked why is
that I am so silent?
Whenever he is so silent, am worried. Don’t know what is
going on in his head, Rashmi commented.
Aishwarya asked, what about rest of the eight wives…
Rashmi told them stories of Shri Krishna’s other marriages as per Bhagavata Purana these 8 wives are Rukmini, Satyabhama, Jambavati,
Kalindi, Mitravinda, Nagnajiti (Neela), Bhadra and Lakshmana.
Ayush was now curious to know the science behind all this
leela of Shri Krishna. He asked, so tell us what we should learn from this
beyond social messages…
Well, you know Shri Krishna demonstrates and communicates silent
messages with his plays … so is the case here also but before getting into that
wants to ask few questions about Yog. Are you ready?
Yes, will try... Ayush said.
So, how many petals are there in different chakras as Yog?
He started counting….mooladhar has 4, swadhisthan has 6……
Vishudhi has 16 and Agya has 2…so the total becomes 50.
Very good, now tell me how many petals are there in Crown
Chakra?
Sahasrar has 1000 petals.
Thanks, this information will help in understanding the
entire consciousness circuit called as Chidvimarsh in Sanskrit.
So, the story goes like this that son of Bhumi (Earth) is
called Bhomasur.
You know, we all have a physical body made up of element
earth. Earth gives it a structure, a shape and hence we call her as mother
earth. Earth gives nourishment required by body and recycles our wastes into
manures (compost them) which is good for vegetation. This is our Bhautik Sharir
(physical body) formed of earth and other four elements containing body’s false
consciousness (ego) called Bhomasur.
Ultimately, this consciousness rules our body and Bhumi is
put in jail – seclusion. This seclusion starts causing body not able to get proper
nourishment from mother earth. The second big problem in this state is that one
starts losing his habit of ‘Let go’. One starts becoming greedy.
Yogtantra describes the internal secrets of the body.
ShatChakranirupan has explained that there are 6 Chakras and as you have
mentioned they have 50 petals with seeds. When these 50 petals are traversed by
Ida and Pingla (two energy vessels) in the body, the count reaches 100 (=50X2).
These are the 100 energy points which takes form when heart is used as our
centre. These are 100 beautiful goddesses.
Shri Krishna takes it to very advanced level by activation
of Agya Chakra. When Agya is activated Universal energy shining on the crown
gets into the head and splits into 1000 rays by petals and 16 light rays from
16 moon phases from 16 petals of Vishudhi Chakra also starts shining into the
head. The field thus created around Agya in the head is an illumination, which
has 16000 (=16X1000) intersections of these rays from Sahasrar and Vishudhi
chakra. These rashmis due to the feelings from heart are found to be beautiful
goddesses.
This way this body houses 16000 and 100 light rays (rashmis).
So, the total count of rashmis is 16100. Now, Shri Krishna comes along with
Satyabhama (Avtaar of Bhu devi) that is consciousness with golden earth energy
and rises in the spine till they relieves mind – the Kalpvriksha from the
bondage of body ego and then wins over Bhomasur.
Shri Krishna- the essence of life, bliss of life starts from
Agya and travels into various chakras to wed these 100 Rashmis and then travels
through the centre of the 6 Chakras back into Agya to reach Sahasrar where it
splits into two directions – Radha and Lalita - 2 Padukas.
This way these are 16000+100+6+2 = 16108. Shri Krishna is
married to all of them. He always remains with them.
The last 6+2 are his 8 Patranis (Queens).
This is secret of secret that he had demonstrated us to
follow in our sadhnatmak practices. Shri Krishna after winning over Bhomasur
marries 16100 goddesses but remember for that he took Satyabhama along.
When we count all his wives it becomes 16108. Just repeating
it again it’s secret of secret though the techniques to experience all this is
very simple and we could learn it from our Guru or you may connect with us.
Shri Krishna’s leelas are demonstration of hidden secrets
that were difficult even for yogis and tantriks to access. In this world of
technology, we have access to this rare knowledge and techniques to understand and
learn them to nurture our being to be accomplished, realized.
