Playing flute is an art that any one could discover. We are born with this art and the only problem is that as we have grown we have forgotten this. The result of forgetting this art is that we are in such a miserable state.

Let’s uncover our selves, rediscover the skill of playing flute, enjoy the beingness of ours.

Playing flute is an art and it has three stages:
Step 1.      Blowing air into the flute,
Step 2.      Playing with notes to create harmonics, and
Step 3.     The production of music that flows out of the flute and                      fills us.

These three steps results in a mesmerizing effect within us. The attraction of this music is beyond our control but it gets created when we listen to it. It depends on many factors but the most important one are - Our attention.... the more focussed and aware we are, the more we will get impacted, Also, the more surrendered we are the more will be emotional flow. This pull in the music happens on its own and is goal for everyone.

Tantra also mentions of these steps but in its own way. These steps are play of Goddess. Point no 1 and 2 are the leela played by Devi Lalita Tripur Sundari and we observe that we are party to this play. The natural pull of Devi Lalita takes away the arduous efforts in doing these steps and playing of flute becomes an enjoyment.  This enjoyment results in flow of music - Point no 3. The pull in the music increases as we relax more. As the Upasak becomes more Still in self, the pull increases to a level that Shri Radha has to come over and bless us with divine bliss. This process happens effortlessly on its own.

The cause – effect relationship could be established by a rationale mind between point no 3 as outcome of the earlier 2 points but this logic fails to explain the sweetness of the music, flowing of emotions, the pull, the attraction, the Ras, the taste in that music. It’s beyond logical explanation but we all know it happens. We are not doing it yet we know it happens. When a person blowing the flute start losing himself, he starts flowing with the musical current. He is able to establish deeper relation with the flow and gets into a hyper relaxed state. It’s this state of being when Shri Radha is felt, sighted.

Therefore, playing flute has deeper meaning in connection to Shri Krishna.

                                                                                                                                                                         ..............contd in part 3
