Rudraksh – mystical seed holding secrets of Shiv upasana. Part 8
Ok, but then you will have to support me in making it more clear from other perspectives. Right.... now let us explore Rudraksh a bit more, tell me how do we see?
He immediately responded that light enters our eye after reflection from the object and the image is formed on the retina. This image is then transfered to the brain at the back of the head.
You are right we have two eyes and there is a spot at the back of the head near Chotisthanam, where image is formed. This way we are able to see.
Now, let’s look at it differently. There are two eyes in the front with a single image point at the back. This image point is also referred to as Bindu in yog. So, these three points are involved in vision - Bindu and two eyes. If we draw lines connecting these three points they may appear to be in an isosceles triangle.
The image is first formed at Retina in the eye, these two eyes acts as two vertices of this imaginary triangle, the third vertex is at the Bindu or vision point, where we see this image.
Yes, we studied and faintly remember that it was something like this process only hence we could say that they are forming a triangle. This was there response.
Well! Then you will agree that in this process there is an object that is seen and a subject who sees. They are connected with the process of seeing. These three makes vision possible. Therefore for self-realization 'seen' that is the image of object, formed at the retina of eye and the seer or the subject at Bindu will have to come so close that one could realise Unity in this triad of seeing. Therefore, we would need the shortest distance from the vision point – Bindu to the seen or the object image in the eye. The axis with shortest distance will intersect the line connecting both the eyes.
