Kundalini Jagran: Secrets you should know

Kundalini Jagran is a most spoken about topic and its taken form of a craze these days. People are keen in waking up the hidden serpent fire inside them. The craze goes to the extent that we have forgotten its roots, purpose and practices. There are so many people talking about Kundalini these days that there is a market created around it and hence so many Workshops, sites, guides to help in raising Kundalini. We also noticed it during one of our travel plans to Uttarakhand.

It’s an incidence of few years back when we were in Dev Prayag - a place in state of Uttarakhand, where two great rivers - Ganga and Alaknanda meet. This is first Prayag on the way towards Badrinath. We stopped there to spend some time, as this place has its own importance in spiritual world.

It was evening time and after dawn, as expected, few Tantrics started coming towards the place where Ganges meets Alaknanda. Today was an Amavasya – No moon night, which has great importance in Tantra and all of these Tantrics wanted to take advantage of this time to gain momentum in their sadhna. 

We have been visiting Dev Prayag as my wife belongs to near by place called Rishikesh and we had known few people there. This is the place where you will find lot of pandits during winter season due to closure of Kedarnath and Badrinath temples. As the temples close, most of these Pandits come back to their homes. Pandit is a person who guides, helps in performing Dev Pujan. Ram Prasad have been pandit for us during our visits to these places.

He had also come down to Dev Prayag  after the closure of the temple and hence he was with us during our visit to Dev Prayag. He had known us for some time and knew about our interest in spirituality.
We could notice that he was disturbed that day; it took lot of probing and persuasion to understand that there was a tourist, who was looking for someone to help him in Kundalini Jagran and he could not help him. This tourist then left Dev Prayag and moved further into higher mountains. 

Ram Prasad was mid aged and have been guiding tourists since very young age. It has been their profession for generations.

We offered him to have dinner with us and discussed on other issues related to this place and its development. He had a keen and was fully updated on the developments in Dev prayag, he continued responding till he was comfortable with us and then slowly started putting across his points. He said, all this issues are fine but he said that I don’t know why people these days are so focused about Kundalini Jagran? 

He further shared that I try explaining tourists not to restrict to Kundalini sadhna but to explore everything; most of them find that Kundalini Jagran is there goal and they have come here only for that. Why there is so much of hype on Kundalini Jagran?  What to say?

Why people want that they should do it quickly? and why they are not able to understand that there are bigger sadhnas in life and they should try those also?

It was evening and our car was moving towards Allahabad. We were travelling back from Vindhyeshwari Devi. We had a divine darshan along with many spiritual experiences that made our yatra a success. A feeling of satisfaction was reflecting in our eyes. It was a feeling of accomplishing, getting something that we were looking for all these years.
